Nissan Engineers Inspire Year 6!

Our Year 6 classroom was buzzing with excitement this week as we welcomed a special guest from Nissan into school! The visitor led an inspiring workshop that brought real‑world engineering to life for our pupils.
The Nissan team shared fascinating insights into how cars are designed, tested and built right here in the North East. Pupils were amazed to discover how many different jobs and skills are involved in creating the vehicles we see on the road every day.
Year 6 took part in a series of hands‑on challenges, including designing our very own cars using Lego, taking part in teamwork tasks and a chance to think like real engineers. There was lots of laughter, some brilliant questions – and even a few future automotive designers in the making!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Nissan visitor for giving our pupils such an engaging and memorable experience. It was a fantastic opportunity that linked perfectly with our STEM curriculum and left our Year 6 pupils inspired and full of ideas.
