Headteacher’s Welcome

A welcome message from our headteacher.

It is my pleasure to welcome you to our website – designed to offer a glimpse into what life is like at our wonderful school. Founded in the early 20th century, St. Mary’s has a long-standing tradition of serving local families. It has continued to grow and evolve while staying true to its strong reputation in the local community for its caring ethos and commitment to high-quality education.

Our mission – Every person matters, every moment counts – reflects our belief that every part of the school day is an opportunity for meaningful learning. We take time to get to know each child as an individual, celebrating their strengths and helping them discover what they can offer to the world.

As a Catholic school, our values are rooted in kindness, integrity and compassion. We welcome families of all faiths and none, and we believe that diversity enriches our school community.

We also know that children thrive when schools and families work together. That’s why we value strong partnerships with parents and carers. We see their support as key to every child’s success.

To get a real sense of what it’s like to be part of our school, we invite you to explore the News section of our website and visit our Facebook page, where we regularly share updates, celebrations and snapshots of everyday moments.

Whilst I hope our website answers your questions, I warmly invite you to get in touch if you’d like to learn more or arrange a visit. We’d love to welcome you and show you what makes St Mary’s a special place to be.

Year 5 Trip to London – Friday Fun in the Capital! ☀️

Our London adventure began bright and early—7:00am sharp—with a collection of slightly sleepy, slightly nervous children and parents gathering at the station. A special mention must go to the mystery, partially-eaten bag of […]
