We’re excited to announce that St Mary’s is taking part in the British Science Week 2026 Poster Competition!
This year’s theme is “What makes a good childhood?”, and pupils are invited to get creative and share their ideas about what a positive childhood looks like now — and in the future.
🖍️ How to Take Part
Children can design a poster showing their thoughts and imagination. They might explore:
✨ What makes their lives positive today
✨ What childhood might be like in the future
✨ What children in other places enjoy
✨ Ideas from friends, family, or their own experiences
Posters can be created using drawings, collage, digital art, or mixed media. A4 or A3 only.
🏆 Prizes
The best posters will win a class prize. Our top entries will be submitted to the national competition, where pupils have the chance to win fantastic prizes!
đź“… Deadline for Entries
Please return all posters to school by Tuesday 17th March 2026.
Remember to include your child’s name and class on the back.
📌 For full details, see the information shared with families.
Good luck to everyone taking part — we can’t wait to see your creativity!
